Winter sports in the Hunsrück

We can't guarantee snow, but if there is some, we can promise you plenty of skiing fun in the Hunsrück! If there is sufficient snow, why not go Alpine skiing on the Erbeskopf mountain? Or tobogganing in the Dollberge mountains? And if there is a good fall of snow, the Hunsrück can also be explored on a whole host of marked cross-country ski trails.

At 816 metres the Erbeskopf is the highest point in the Hunsrück and also the highest mountain in Rhineland-Palatinate. The ski resort has 3 descents of 800 metres or 450 metres. In cold temperatures, fully automatic snow machines generate enough snow for the slopes. Ski and snowboard hire, a ski and snowboarding school and catering facilities are also available on site.

The Dollberge mountains at Neuhütten are located near Hermeskeil. If Mother Nature has provided an ample covering of snow, it is possible to ski, snowboard and toboggan on one slope.
