Thalfang am Erbeskopf
On the Erbeskopf, the highest mountain in Rhineland-Palatinate at 816 metres, everything revolves around a relaxing and active leisure experience in the very clean air.
All year round, you can look out over the Hunsrück and far into the Eifel from the impressive Windklang viewing platform at the top.
In winter, alpine skiing, cross-country skiing and tobogganing are the order of the day. Mobile snow cannons ensure good snow conditions at all times.
An adventure area with a forest playground and sensory experience trail, the Highlive high ropes course, the summer toboggan run and the Erbeskopf National Park Gate with its national park exhibition and events also attract guests.
This is also where ranger and explorer tours into the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park also regularly start.
The Haardtwald forest on the northern edge of Thalfang guards a valuable treasure: precious mineral water. The mineral water educational and adventure trail leads to the Haardtwald spring and the “Berger Wacken” - an impressive quartzite rock.
